The Barcelona Metropolitan Area (AMB) will launch the new high-performance Metrobús M15 line next Monday, February 16, 2026, connecting L’Hospitalet, Cornellà, and the Diagonal area of Barcelona with 10-minute frequencies.

The M15 service aims to reduce waiting times and provide a fast, comfortable, and sustainable alternative to private vehicles in one of the metropolitan area's highest public transport demand corridors. The new line will operate daily, ensuring a frequency of just ten minutes on weekdays, helping to relieve congestion on lines M12 and M14.

"We must continue increasing public transport capacity and offering efficient and sustainable alternatives for daily commutes."

Carlos Cordón · Vice President of Mobility, Transport, and Sustainability of the AMB
The M15 route will link the Zona Universitària with Illa Diagonal, passing through L’Hospitalet and reaching Cornellà de Llobregat. In L’Hospitalet, the line will significantly improve coverage in neighborhoods like La Torrassa, Collblanc, La Florida, and Pubilla Cases, adding new stops along the Avinguda del Torrent Gornal axis.
In Cornellà, the new Metrobús will serve key locations such as the Almeda neighborhood, the Splau shopping center, and the RCD Espanyol stadium, facilitating travel for shopping or sporting events. Furthermore, the AMB has announced an information campaign in the affected municipalities to ensure residents are familiar with the new service.
The network improvement is completed with adjustments to other lines: L82 and L85 improve their frequencies, and L20 and L21 modify their routes to cover the Montesa neighborhood in Esplugues de Llobregat and enhance connection with the Rodalies de L’Hospitalet station. Routes are also adjusted in the Sanfeliu neighborhood (L’Hospitalet) to calm traffic around the Pablo Neruda School.
