The Adult Mental Health Center (CSMA) of Castelldefels, managed by the Parc Sanitari Sant Joan de Déu, will commence operations on November 10 from its new location at the CAP Castelldefels Muntanyeta. The service will be housed on the second floor of the new healthcare building, situated at Avinguda de Lluís Companys, 18.
Until November 6, the CSMA will continue its activities at its current site on Carrer del Dr. Fleming, 23. On November 9, the center will be closed for the relocation and will resume care services the following day at the new facilities. This move aims not only for a physical relocation but also to strengthen the integration of mental health into the healthcare and community network, a model promoted by the Parc Sanitari Sant Joan de Déu.
The new facility, spanning 3,780 m², will consolidate a new primary care team, all of Castelldefels' pediatric care, the outpatient rehabilitation service, the CSMA, and the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Center (CSMIJ), managed by the Fundació Orienta, within a single building. This proximity between services facilitates intervention coordination and continuity of care, contributing to the normalization of mental health services.
Prior to the official start of operations, on Friday, November 6, from 10 AM to 6 PM, the CAP Castelldefels Muntanyeta will host an open house event, allowing citizens to visit the new facilities and learn about the services it will offer.
