A 16-year-old minor surrendered to the Mossos d'Esquadra at Barcelona-El Prat Airport, six months after fleeing Spain following the fatal stabbing of a man on a bus in Castelldefels last July.

The 16-year-old was arrested by the Policía Nacional at the airport's passenger control and handed over to the Mossos d'Esquadra. His surrender comes after he fled the country last July, shortly after the incident took place.
The incident dates back to the early morning of July 18, when a fight involving a knife occurred inside a city bus in Castelldefels, in the Baix Llobregat area. The victim, a man, was seriously injured and died the following day at the Hospital de Bellvitge.
Police sources confirmed that due to the suspect's flight, a European arrest warrant was issued. The minor returned to Spain last Monday on a flight that landed at El Prat Airport, where he finally turned himself in to the authorities.
