Sant Climent de Llobregat reopens access to natural environment but maintains group restrictions

The Sant Climent de Llobregat Town Council has allowed access to the natural environment again starting December 15, following the directives issued by the Generalitat de Catalunya, although limitations on organized leisure activities remain.

The reopening permits citizens to enjoy the forest environment, but authorities, following the Generalitat's guidelines, maintain the prohibition of organized group leisure activities. This restriction explicitly covers excursions, popular walks, school activities, and sports competitions, aiming to prevent the spread of African Swine Fever (ASF).

It is crucial not to touch or move the animal under any circumstances to avoid potential contagion of African Swine Fever.

Although Sant Climent de Llobregat does not register any pig farming activity, the municipality has been categorized within the low-risk zone, alongside other towns in the Baix Llobregat area. The Town Council emphasizes that these measures are temporary and strictly preventive.
Authorities remind residents of the importance of public cooperation. If a dead or injured wild boar is found, citizens must immediately report it by calling the emergency number 112, ensuring they never touch or move the animal.
