A truck overturned on the median strip of the AP-7 near El Papiol on Monday evening, forcing the closure of six lanes and generating queues up to six kilometers long in both directions.

The Servei Català de Trànsit (SCT) reported that the incident occurred when a truck traveling northbound overturned onto the median strip, cutting three lanes southbound (towards Tarragona) and three lanes northbound (towards Girona).
Traffic congestion was particularly severe southbound, where queues reached six kilometers between El Papiol and Sant Cugat del Vallès. Northbound, the queues extended up to five kilometers, affecting the stretch between El Papiol and Castellbisbal.
Six units of the Bombers de la Generalitat (Firefighters) were deployed to the scene. The heavy vehicle was transporting scrap metal, which spilled onto the roadway following the rollover.
Shortly after seven o'clock on Monday evening, the SCT managed to partially reopen traffic flow, confirming the recovery of two southbound lanes, although significant delays continued for several hours.
