Photographer Txema Salvans has documented for 10 years the unique activities taking place every Sunday noon in the parking lot of a Carrefour supermarket in El Prat de Llobregat.
The project, compiled in the photo book Sunday Morning, shows how seemingly empty places like the Carrefour parking lot in El Prat de Llobregat become stages for social and personal life every Sunday noon.

"I myself was part of this project because I was also there and I also like being alone. In fact, the people who are there go to disconnect from the world."
During the 10 years of documentation, Txema Salvans captured surprising scenes, such as people sunbathing, truckers playing chess, or individuals practicing musical instruments, although he regretted not being able to photograph a man playing the bagpipes.
The car is a central element of these gatherings, often the space where men enjoy caring for and cleaning it, with their partners watching. Driving lessons, children on small motorcycles, and youths testing speakers are also visible.

"I rarely talk to the people I photograph. The reality is very simple. When they explain what they are doing there, it's like discovering a magic trick; it loses its charm. Well, this is the same."
Salvans, whose works have been published in outlets like The New York Times and Le Monde, explained to RAC1 that his relationship with Carrefour is non-existent, as photographing during the week would have been impossible due to security.
