CIMALSA has tendered the construction and operation of a new ultra-fast charging station for electric vehicles at the Gavà Service Area, located on the C-32 road.

The facility, which will be managed through a 20-year concession, is situated at kilometer 48 of the C-32 northbound and has an estimated business value of 22.65 million euros. This project is the first implementation of the Electric Vehicle Charging Station Deployment Plan on the Generalitat's road network, part of the Electric Vehicle Promotion Plan 2025-2030 (PIVE).
The initiative aims to accelerate the transition towards decarbonized mobility and promote the adoption of electric vehicles. CIMALSA plans to gradually deploy this type of infrastructure in the service areas it manages.
As a special execution condition, the awarded contractor must annually prove that all electricity supplied to users comes from 100% renewable sources. CIMALSA's projected revenues include a fixed annual fee and a variable fee per kWh of energy supplied.
The facility will be managed separately from other services at the service area by a specialized charging point operator. The contract will have a duration of 20 years, with an 18-month grace period for construction, legalization, and commissioning of the installation.
