Five sea turtles of the 'caretta caretta' species, rescued by the CRAM Foundation, were released this morning at La Pineda beach in Castelldefels before a large crowd.

The event, which brought together hundreds of people, allowed attendees to watch the animals walk towards the sea accompanied by the foundation's volunteers and a fisherman, generating great excitement.
Throughout the morning, various environmental awareness and marine conservation activities were held. Participants enjoyed family workshops, exhibitions on threats to marine fauna and the importance of coastal protection, as well as a simulated sea turtle rescue by CRAM specialists.

The indispensable support of the hundreds of volunteers who collaborate with the entity throughout the year.

The CRAM Foundation highlighted in a statement that the recovery and return of these specimens to the sea are possible thanks to the work of its technical team and the support of its volunteers.
The 'Torna a Casa' (Return Home) event was held with the collaboration of the Generalitat de Catalunya, the Castelldefels City Council, and the Barcelona Metropolitan Area (AMB).
