According to the Meteorological Service of Catalonia, rainfall intensity posing a risk to Baix Llobregat is expected between 8:00 PM and 2:00 AM. An ES-alert message has been sent throughout the region, informing about the dangerous meteorological situation.
The Sant Feliu de Llobregat City Council urges the public to exercise extreme caution and follow the guidelines from Protecció Civil to minimize risks associated with heavy rainfall.
Recommendations include avoiding unnecessary travel, especially by vehicle, during the most intense rain episodes. Citizens are also advised not to cross streams, torrents, or flood-prone areas, and to stay away from riverbanks and underpasses.
Furthermore, it is recommended not to park vehicles in dry riverbeds or low-lying areas susceptible to flooding, and to ensure that drains, channels, and gutters in homes and communities are clean.
The public should monitor the meteorological evolution and official warnings through the channels of Protecció Civil and the Meteorological Service of Catalonia, as well as check road conditions via the 012 information line and the Catalan Traffic Service website.
The City Council is monitoring the situation in coordination with emergency services and asks the population to stay informed and call 112 in case of emergency.
