Mayors Jaume Collboni and David Quirós signed a collaboration protocol this Friday to eliminate the border effect between Barcelona and L'Hospitalet and improve services for two million residents.

The agreement establishes a Joint Commission to oversee strategic projects such as the new Hospital Clínic campus and the Bellvitge BioCluster. This partnership aims to integrate urban planning in shared areas like Riera Blanca, focusing on sustainable growth and affordable housing.

"We have put our neighbors at the center of our priorities, ensuring economic opportunities and livable cities."

Key infrastructures include the la Torrassa interchange and the expansion of Fira de Barcelona. Together, these two cities generate one-third of Catalonia's GDP, making this alliance one of the most significant urban and economic hubs in Southern Europe.
