The Minister of Territori i Habitatge, Sílvia Paneque, met this Saturday in Begues with Mayor Mercè Esteve to promote public transport and affordable housing initiatives.

The meeting highlighted the addition of a new 13-meter hybrid bus to line 902, increasing capacity to 80 passengers. This upgrade includes better weekday frequencies and a new stop at Viladecans Hospital, addressing long-standing local demands.

"Collaboration with the Catalan administration is essential to address the shortage of public housing in the country."

Regarding housing, the l'Escorxador cooperative project was a key topic. Both parties are exploring short-term cooperation to increase public housing stock. The local council also raised concerns about Rodalies train reliability for daily commuters.
