The Department of Territory will completely close the C-31 highway on the night of March 16-17 to install the main beam of a new pedestrian bridge in Castelldefels.

The nocturnal operation in the La Pava area will take place from midnight until 6 AM. Engineers will use heavy-duty cranes to position a 110-ton prestressed concrete beam. This new 32-meter structure replaces an old metal bridge to provide a safer crossing for pedestrians.
The Generalitat has invested 600.000 euros in this project. Drivers heading towards Barcelona or Sitges must follow signposted detours through local streets and the B-210 road. The bridge is expected to be fully operational before Easter.
