Around 2,500 residents and visitors gathered at Plaza de las Palmeras in Castelldefels on March 15 to celebrate the Vermutada, the opening event for the city's annual wine festival.

Mayor Manu Reyes and local councilors attended the sunny seaside celebration, which featured music by DJ Sergi Nolla. The event served as a teaser for the 2026 Wine Show, which will officially take place from March 20 to 22 at the Plaza de la Iglesia.
This year's fair will host 24 stands offering food and wine, including a special delegation from Coimbra. Educational activities such as wine tastings focused on DO Montsant and DO Catalunya will be held at the Edificio de la República throughout the weekend.
Live entertainment will be a key feature, with performances by Veneno en la piel and Cien Gaviotas. The festival aims to promote local commerce and tourism, offering a diverse program for all ages in the heart of the city.
