Firefighters have requested the confinement of the Palau colony and Clavell street in Sant Andreu de la Barca this July 5 due to a forest fire.

The fire, detected around 13:35 near Via de l'Esport, has forced the activation of safety measures to protect approximately 1,500 people. Civil Protection has sent alerts to the mobile phones of affected residents to ensure their confinement.
According to initial estimates, the fire has affected between three and four hectares. Extinguishing teams have deployed eight ground units and four aerial assets, prioritizing the left flank, which is considered the main driver of the fire.
The progress of the extinguishing efforts is favorable. The fire has passed the Serrat d'en Canals and is currently burning with less intensity in a downward direction, with no reported danger to nearby residential areas.
