According to defense sources, the son of Mango's founder made up to seven calls to emergency services and several communications to his father's partner to report the fall, which occurred on December 14, 2024. These calls continued until 1:13 PM.
During the conversations with 112, the son of Mango's founder expressed his distress, urgently requesting help: "he has fallen down a ravine, please send someone." He explained that he couldn't see his father and he wasn't responding, while an operator transferred him to the firefighters and he later spoke with a SEM nurse.

The defense emphasizes that the calls were made "insistently" and in a state of "despair," recalling that the content of these conversations is part of the judicial investigation. The judge in Martorell, investigating the death, estimated the fall occurred between 12:28:20 PM and 12:28:26 PM, and that Jonathan Andic's first call to 112 was at 12:36:24 PM.
The defense believes the police investigation is excessively focused on the initial minutes without registered calls, disregarding the traumatic impact such an event can have on an individual. They also note that the founder's son wanted to descend into the ravine but was prevented by two hikers who arrived at the scene and assisted him.
The judge also pointed out that, in a later call with a SEM nurse, the founder's son altered the initial version, stating he was moving forward when he suddenly heard the sound of stones and saw his father fall. The two hikers who initially attended to the son will be summoned to testify as witnesses.
