From March 19 to 29, the town of Martorell will host the Air-Raid Shelter Week, featuring tours of the historic underground tunnels located beneath Plaça de la Vila.

The shelter, built in August 1938, remains a symbol of civilian resistance during the Spanish Civil War. Visitors can explore 35 meters of the structure, which sits eight meters underground. The site was rediscovered in 1990 and has since become a key location for local historical education.

"These visits aim to remember the citizen involvement in the defense of cities and promote a culture of peace and democracy."
