The Sant Joan de Déu de Martorell Hospital Foundation has launched the Martorell Sports Traumatology Unit (UTEM), a private service focused on specialized care for athletes.

Presented on February 25th at the Molí Fariner, the unit aims to provide a multidisciplinary approach to sports injuries. The event was supported by the Catalan Basketball Federation and featured medical experts and professional athletes discussing recovery protocols.

"With UTEM, we want to offer integral and specialized care, from diagnosis to a safe return to competition."

Andreu Triguero Espinosa · UTEM Medical Director
The inauguration included a round table on ACL injuries with the participation of former F.C. Barcelona player Roger Esteller. Xavier Fonollosa, Mayor of Martorell, emphasized that this new facility brings high-quality medical resources directly to the local sporting community.
