Martorell hosts 26th annual city race with over 600 participants this Sunday

The 5km certified course will impact local traffic as hundreds of runners take to the streets.

The Martorell City Council and the Martorell Atlètic Club are organizing the 26th edition of the local race this Sunday, March 29th, starting at 10:00 AM.

The 5-kilometer race, certified by the Catalan Athletics Federation, will start and finish at Josep Vilar street. The route covers several neighborhoods including Torrent de Llops, Can Cases, and Buenos Aires.

"We are a small club looking to grow through word of mouth. This event helps us boost that projection."

Children's races will follow at 10:50 AM, with distances ranging from 250 to 1,300 meters. Trophies for the top finishers will be awarded at 11:30 AM. Participants can collect their bibs at the Torrent de Llops Sports Complex.
Traffic restrictions will be in place from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM on Sunday. Major roads like Comte de Llobregat will be closed, and Fèlix Duran Avenue will be restricted starting Saturday for event preparations.
