The 175th Fira de la Candelera takes place in Molins de Rei from January 30 to February 1, 2026, showcasing agricultural innovation and tradition under stable weather conditions.

The 175th edition of the Fira de la Candelera began with the official inauguration on Friday, which included a tour of the main areas of the fairgrounds. Participants in the opening ceremony included the Minister of Industry and Tourism, Jordi Hereu, and the President of the Diputació de Barcelona, Lluïsa Moret, along with Mayor Xavi Paz and Fair Councilor Iván Mustieles, among other institutional representatives.
Following the ceremony, the institutional visit focused on the Espai Natura, emphasizing the nursery area, which is considered the historical origin of the event. Attention was also given to the Planter Innov@ space, dedicated to innovations and new projects linked to the agricultural sector. The tour included a stop at the stand of the Fira de la Puríssima de Sant Boi, participating as a guest fair, and concluded at the Fira de Vins, located in the Plaça de la Llibertat.
The fair weekend, which precedes the traditional February 2 (Candelera Day), enjoyed “relatively stable and mild weather for the season.” Forecasts for Saturday and Sunday indicated intervals of clouds and clear skies, with maximum temperatures between 13 and 15 ºC and a very low risk of rain, supporting this edition that combines tradition and modernity in Molins de Rei.
