The incident occurred at 08:21 AM during rush hour. According to the Catalan Transit Service, the rider lost control of his motorcycle without any other vehicles involved. Mossos d'Esquadra officers are investigating the weather conditions as the primary factor in the crash.

Emergency services, including four SEM units, attended the scene but were unable to resuscitate the victim. The accident forced the closure of two lanes, resulting in six kilometers of congestion reaching Sant Joan Despí and the A-2 junction in Sant Feliu de Llobregat.
