Guitarist Roger Canals presented his acclaimed show Viatjazz a Nova Orleans this Sunday at La Sala Miguel Hernández, blending live music with urban visual arts.

The production, which has been running for nearly fifteen years, originated from educational performances in Sant Boi de Llobregat. Canals teamed up with the graffiti artist Werens to create a visual support for early jazz and swing melodies, making the genre accessible to children.

"The key is a very simple script. Both jazz and graffiti are arts born on the streets."

While the band plays traditional spirituals and early jazz themes, Werens live-paints a portrait of Louis Armstrong. The show aims to strip away the technical complexity often associated with jazz, focusing instead on the raw emotions that have connected audiences for over a century.
