Police seize 2.5 tons of counterfeit goods in Castelldefels operation

The Castelldefels Local Police, Mossos d'Esquadra, National Police, and Guardia Civil seized 2,500 kilograms of counterfeit merchandise during a major joint operation last Saturday, February 21st.

The coordinated effort targeted illegal street vending, commonly known as top manta, within the municipality of Castelldefels. Officers focused on protecting industrial property rights by confiscating large quantities of branded clothing.
The operation resulted in 13 administrative complaints for violating local civility ordinances. Furthermore, a report has been sent to the Prosecutor's Office regarding an alleged crime against industrial property due to the nature of the seized items.
Additionally, six individuals were summoned for immigration law violations. Authorities emphasized that such operations are essential to combat the illicit economy and protect consumers and legitimate businesses.
