Sources from Renfe and Adif have confirmed to the ACN the resolution of the signaling incident affecting the R2 south commuter line. This incident had forced a reduction in train frequency per hour and direction between Barcelona and Sant Vicenç de Calders.
Despite the solution, normal frequencies are expected to be progressively restored. Delays could exceed 30 minutes on both the R2 south line and regional trains. Rodalies de Catalunya has reported that the southern corridor will be one of the most affected by the increased mobility expected for the total solar eclipse this Wednesday.
