The Barcelona Metropolitan Area has launched the participatory phase of the Commit2Green project in Sant Boi de Llobregat, focusing on urban renaturalization and climate neutrality goals.

On February 18, 13 municipal technicians gathered at the Palau de Marianao to diagnose climate risks in the Can Gavarrot area. This meeting marks the beginning of a pilot intervention designed to implement nature-based solutions within the city's infrastructure.
Part of the European Union's Horizon program, Commit2Green aims to assist eight European cities in developing integrated green space strategies. These actions are vital for enhancing urban resilience and achieving long-term sustainability targets in the face of global warming.
In Sant Boi, the project specifically tests a margin management system. By aligning these environmental efforts with existing urban planning, the Sant Boi City Council aims to position the municipality as a benchmark for sustainable urban transformation.
