The new fleet represents an investment of 8.7 million euros and will operate on lines SB1, SB2, SB3, and L46. These state-of-the-art vehicles, managed by Monbus, feature energy recovery systems and high-capacity batteries, ensuring a full day of service without intermediate charging.

Mayor Lluïsa Moret and AMB Vice President Carlos Cordón highlighted that these buses reduce pollutant emissions by 100% compared to diesel. An additional 13 hybrid buses will soon join the network, focusing on the X79 and M5 routes with a further 6.5 million euro investment.
The metropolitan bus fleet is now 78% sustainable. Out of 2,135 total vehicles, 400 are zero-emission models, including 354 electric units and 46 powered by hydrogen, positioning the Baix Llobregat region at the forefront of green urban transit.
