The Philatelic and Collectors Association of Sant Feliu de Guíxols has unveiled two new legal tender stamps for Spain, one dedicated to architect Antoni Gaudí and the other to president Josep Irla.

The stamp honoring Antoni Gaudí marks the centenary of the Barcelona artist's death, while the one for Josep Irla celebrates the 150th anniversary of his birth. Both figures are considered pivotal to Catalan culture and identity.
The association's president, Amado Sàbat, highlighted the suitability of these proposals for these commemorations. Furthermore, the entity plans to publish a special magazine featuring both stamps and a postmark related to Josep Irla.
Collaboration with the municipal archive of Sant Feliu de Guíxols was crucial in selecting the most appropriate images for both stamps. The councillor for culture of the Sant Feliu de Guíxols City Council, Alexis Sánchez, emphasized the coincidence of these anniversaries and praised the work carried out by the philatelic association.
