The Sant Feliu City Council has reported a very positive assessment of the 2026 Autumn Festival, held from October 8th to 12th. The celebration, one of the city's most emblematic, filled streets and squares with 101 activities, surpassing the previous year's 75. The festival combined popular culture, music, and new proposals designed for all ages and neighborhoods.
Popular culture played a central role with events such as the Seguici, Ball d'Entremesos, Encesa del Campanar, correfocs, and the Trobada de Gegants i Capgrossos. This edition also coincided with several anniversaries of local entities. The musical program included concerts by artists like Els Catarres and Ginestà, as well as performances by local artists and new offerings such as orchestral concerts and dances.
One of the highlights was the presentation of the Mocador d'Honor to Àngel Merino, recognizing his contribution to popular culture and the city's associative movement. The festival also emphasized accessibility, with reserved spaces for people with reduced mobility, quiet zones, and giant screens. The amusement fair included a noise-free hour.
The prevention of male violence and a feminist perspective were priorities, with the presence of 'puntos lila' (safe spaces) in three key locations and the introduction of substance detection wristbands. Night mediation and awareness services were also enhanced to promote a safe and respectful festival.
The organization navigated the challenge of urban transformation works, adapting spaces and routes, and relocating events like the Encesa del Campanar to the plaça de Lluís Companys. The City Council thanks the 'colles', entities, associations, volunteers, the Department of Culture, and municipal services for their collaboration.
The strong public response encourages the City Council to continue improving the festival's accessibility, safety, and respect. The assessment will be used to analyze incidents, evaluate devices, and identify improvements, particularly regarding organization and compatibility with residents' rest.
