The lobby of the Sant Joan Despí train station has been closed since last December, a measure taken following the occupation of a dwelling located on the upper floor of the building.

This property, owned by ADIF, formerly housed railway staff and currently shows a poor state of conservation, with broken windows and the entrance filled with rubbish, evidencing its deterioration from the outside.
The decision to close the lobby and suspend essential services such as ticket sales was made due to uncivil behavior by the occupants. According to published reports, they had made illegal connections to the electricity supply and even urinated on users from the building's windows.
Currently, travelers must use a side door to access the platforms, as the main entrance remains inoperative as a result of this situation.
