Over 16,000 people attended the II Vocational Training Fair of Baix Llobregat at the Granja de la Ricarda venue in El Prat de Llobregat this week, strengthening the link between education and the professional world.

The second edition of the fair, organized by the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce in Baix Llobregat, the El Prat de Llobregat City Council, the Generalitat's Department of Education and Vocational Training, and the Catalan Public Employment Service (SOC), allowed attendees to understand current labor market needs and discover training itineraries with real professional outcomes.

"Beyond the figures, the most important success of this fair has been that thousands of students, accompanied by their teachers or families, have found a space to receive guidance, resolve doubts, and discover horizons they might not have imagined until now."

Alba Bou Jordà · Mayor of El Prat de Llobregat
This edition incorporated new resources, such as a personalized guidance service for students and families, and a training space for companies. The program was designed to ensure the active participation of families, with interaction with guidance professionals and teachers, aiming to provide relevant and updated information.

"The Chamber has once again united educational centers and companies through a wide range of activities with the aim of bringing highly practical training that responds to the needs of the business fabric."

Carles Guilera · President of the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce in Baix Llobregat
The fair is consolidating itself as a reference point for guidance and the search for young talent in the region. The director of the SOC, Francesc Castellana, highlighted that the event “helps establish bridges between education and employment, favoring learning and providing flexible, recognized, and future-oriented training itineraries to everyone.” It has already been announced that the third edition of the Baix Llobregat VT Fair will be held in 2027 in Martorell.
