The Servei Català de Trànsit has closed the AP-7 motorway southbound between Martorell and Gelida on February 5, 2026, after two coaches violated established safety restrictions.

The measure, effective since 6:00 AM on February 5, 2026, comes one day after a lane had been reopened in this section exclusively for interurban buses and alternative RENFE services. This partial reopening followed the Rodalia accident between Sant Sadurní d’Anoia and Gelida.
The Servei Català de Trànsit (SCT) justified the new provisional closure upon detecting that two coaches failed to respect the established circulation restrictions necessary to guarantee the safety of the construction work and users.
According to the SCT, the identified vehicles accessed the point where the slope is being repaired, ignoring the instructions of the work supervisors. The protocol stipulated that only authorized vehicles could use the enabled lane, limiting speed to 80 km/h and diverting via alternative routes before reaching the work zone.
The failure to comply with these safety regulations has led to the AP-7 motorway being completely closed again southbound, affecting mobility in the Baix Llobregat and Alt Penedès areas.
