A 46-year-old woman has died in Barcelona and eight people were injured, some in critical condition, due to the historic windstorm that hit Catalonia this Thursday.

The Thursday session was marked by an almost unprecedented gale that caused a tragedy in Barcelona, where a woman lost her life when part of an industrial warehouse roof collapsed on her. In addition to the fatality, the Catalan Health Service reports that six people remain hospitalized this Friday.
In the Baix Llobregat region, specifically in Sant Boi de Llobregat, falling trees injured two people aged 22 and 23. The youngest is in critical condition at Bellvitge Hospital, while the other was admitted in serious condition.
Other affected areas include Vall d'Hebron Hospital, where a 68-year-old is in serious condition after being hit by a falling lamppost, and Josep Trueta Hospital in Girona, treating a construction worker injured in Sant Pau de Segúries.
