The discovery of this positive case outside the original ground zero has forced authorities to extend the security radius to six kilometers. For the first time, this includes parts of Barcelona, specifically the neighborhoods of Vallvidrera, Tibidabo, and Les Planes.

In addition to the case in the Baix Llobregat capital, six dead wild boars were found within the high-risk zone. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the region to 162 as monitoring efforts intensify.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, over 1,100 tests have returned negative results. These include 661 captured animals and 451 cases investigated through passive surveillance of remains found in the natural environment.
