The Meteorological Service of Catalonia and Civil Protection have issued an extreme wind risk warning for Viladecans, with gusts expected to reach 108 km/h this Thursday.

Due to the severity of the weather, the Generalitat de Catalunya has decided to suspend all educational, university, and sports activities between 00:00 and 20:00 on February 12th. This measure also affects non-urgent social and health services.
The Viladecans City Council has activated the municipal Civil Protection Plan and ordered the closure of all city parks. Additionally, school activities planned for Fat Thursday have been cancelled and the City Forum has been postponed.
Authorities recommend avoiding unnecessary travel and encouraging remote work. Citizens are also urged to take precautions at home by securing doors and windows and removing objects from balconies that could fall due to the wind.
