The R4 Rodalies line is interrupted today between Martorell and L'Hospitalet de Llobregat following an embankment collapse in Sant Feliu, forcing Renfe to activate an alternative transport plan.

The service interruption on the R4 Rodalies line affects the section between Martorell and L’Hospitalet de Llobregat. The cause is the collapse of part of an embankment in Sant Feliu de Llobregat, an incident linked to the tunneling works being carried out in the area. Adif technicians are working to resolve the incident, but currently, there is no clear forecast for service resumption.
Renfe has activated an alternative mobility plan. Although a substitute road service is managed, passengers are advised to use other public transport options: the Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat (FGC) between Martorell and Cornellà, the Tram near Sant Feliu de Llobregat, and the Metro for the journey between Cornellà and L’Hospitalet.

"The free service will be extended for as many days as necessary considering the poor functioning of Rodalies."

Sílvia Paneque · Minister of Territory
The Minister of Territory, Sílvia Paneque, announced this Thursday in the Parliament that the Rodalies de Catalunya service will be free until the system stabilizes “sustainably,” extending the initial 30-day period previously set.
In addition to the incident, the service will face a train driver strike called by the unions SEMAF, CGT, SF-Intersindical, Alferro CCOO, and UGT, between February 9 and 11. The Department of Labor has decreed minimum services of 66% during peak hours (6 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.) and 33% for the rest of the day.
