Train circulation for Rodalies and regional services across Catalonia will remain suspended throughout Sunday to allow for a comprehensive review of the infrastructure damaged by the storm, as announced by Minister Sílvia Paneque.

The decision to halt the service, which began on Saturday at noon, aims to guarantee the safety and operational capacity of the network. The Minister of Territory, Sílvia Paneque, explained that the closure allows teams to work "with greater efficiency and speed" in inspecting the 21 critical points of the infrastructure, where 12 specialized teams are currently deployed.

"The state of the infrastructure is not good; it accumulates years of underinvestment."

In parallel, the Minister of Presidency, Albert Dalmau, requested that Renfe implement free Rodalies service until full normality is restored, admitting that the current situation is unprecedented and apologizing to affected users.

"Citizens cannot be asked to pay for a service that cannot be operated under proper conditions."

The follow-up meeting included representatives from the Government, Renfe, Adif, and users, joined by the Secretary of State for Transport, José Antonio Santano. The Generalitat has reinforced alternative services with 170 additional buses and increased frequencies on Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC). Furthermore, tolls remain lifted on the C-32 as an alternative to the AP-7.
