A total of twenty-five bars and restaurants in Sant Just Desvern are participating in the 'El català a la taula' campaign, promoted by the Servei Local de Català of the CPNL with the support of the City Council's Department of Commerce, to foster the presence and use of Catalan in everyday spaces.

The initiative involves distributing 500 individual Catalan tablecloths to each establishment. These tablecloths will be placed on tables during the Autumn Festivals and until stocks are depleted, aiming to bring the language closer to customers and make it more present in the restaurant sector.
This action is part of the commitment made by the City Council through its adherence to the Pacte Nacional per la Llengua. The adhesion was formalized on February 13, 2026, by the mayor, Joan Basagañas, and the Minister of Linguistic Policy, Francesc Xavier Vila, expressing the will to promote Catalan as a shared language of cohesion.
