Work is scheduled to commence on Friday, October 16th, with the objective of restoring two-way traffic as quickly as possible. This was confirmed by the territorial delegate of the Government in Barcelona, Pilar Díaz Romero, who visited the municipality accompanied by the mayor and the urban planning councillor to inspect the areas most affected by the downpours.
At Comte Ramon Berenguer Avenue, near the Font del Murri, the retaining wall that experienced a landslide, forcing traffic restrictions to a single lane with alternating passage regulated by traffic lights, was inspected.
During the visit, a landslide near the Institut Montpedrós and agricultural fields in the Parc Agrari del Baix Llobregat were also examined. Several farms were flooded, causing damage to crops and potential production losses.
To prevent future damage to agricultural fields, the support of the Generalitat and the Catalan Water Agency (ACA) has been requested for cleaning, adaptation, and maintenance work on the stream.
The City Council continues to work towards a coordinated response from the administrations and progress in the recovery of the affected areas.
