The September plenary session in Vallirana focused on the initial approval of the regulations for the contracting of the management concession for the Municipal Sports Complex (CEM). This item, introduced as urgent, received support from the governing majority (PSC+JxCat), while opposition groups expressed their disagreement.
During the session, the general accounts for 2025, two credit modifications, the new ordinance regulating public prices (ordinance 49), and a motion presented by ERC were also approved. The latter proposed improving thermal comfort in nursery schools and other municipal educational facilities, achieving unanimous approval.
Following the information provided by the Mayor's office, opposition groups raised several issues. ECP addressed the Casino works, the CEM elevator, subsidies for climate change adaptation, the condition of the football field's showers and bar, a pothole on Joan Capri street, containers on Miquel Batlle street, surveillance in playgrounds, and shading at school entrances.
Meanwhile, VET raised concerns regarding the activity land at El Lledoner, social rental housing, the state of the skate park, the date for the Festa Major fireworks, the Vallilúdic event, pavilion climate control, economic development subsidies, picnic tables at Parc Nou, the selection process for nursery schools, school conditions, Casino works, the barbecue project, CEM regulations, the animal fair, the presence of rats and wild boars, a visit to a wood chip facility, waste disposal regulations, and municipal workers during the Festa Major.
ERC focused its interventions on waste disposal, shading at the playground in Parc Central, the Housing Plan, the CEM, the impact of the wind turbine plan, subsidies from the DIBA's Local Autonomy program, Casino works, new regulations for electric scooters, the Vallibús and interurban bus service, the Housing Table and vacant municipal properties, the Municipal Music School, and alternatives for Festa Major events.
