The construction of the future residential center for the elderly and people with disabilities in Calafell is progressing steadily, with an expected opening date before 2027.

Located in the la Sínia sector, the project represents a 10 million euro investment, half of which is funded by the European Union's Next Generation funds. The facility will be managed by the Santa Teresa Foundation and will offer 120 places designed around a personalized care model that mimics a home environment.
This initiative addresses the demographic shift in the Baix Penedès region, where the population over 65 is projected to rise to 25% in the next ten years. Beyond social care, the center is expected to boost the local economy by creating 80 direct jobs.
