The incident occurred at 9:25 AM when the vehicle, carrying goods, attempted to pass under the railway bridge, which has a maximum height limit of 2.50 meters. The truck's cargo box became completely wedged under the structure.
Two units from the Firefighters and personnel from the Emergency Medical System (SEM) were quickly dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, they confirmed that the driver could not exit the vehicle on his own.
Around 10:15 AM, firefighters managed to free the truck using a tractel, a manual traction and lifting tool. Subsequently, they were able to extricate the driver, who was attended to by SEM paramedics.
The most damaged part of the incident was the truck's cargo box, which was completely destroyed. Firefighters also inspected the bridge to ensure its structure had not sustained any damage.
