The town of Sant Jaume dels Domenys, in Baix Penedès, hosted a casteller event on Sunday, March 30, 2026, marking the return of human towers after a fourteen-year hiatus.

The event, organized by the casteller program 'Quarts, amunt!' from the municipal radio station Domenys Ràdio, featured the participation of Nens del Vendrell, Castellers de Vilafranca, and Castellers de Terrassa. The day was marked by the 'greens'' debuts and an unfortunate incident for the local colla.
The Nens del Vendrell, acting as hosts, suffered a fall with their 4d8 in the second round, after a dismantled attempt. This construction, which aimed to be the earliest for the centenary entity, deformed as the 'caçoleta' entered, leading to its collapse. The incident forced a halt to the event for about forty-five minutes, from 13:17h to 14:06h, for the evacuation of two castellers with contusions.

"The Nens del Vendrell had not seen their 4d8 fall since 2012, and since then they have successfully completed over a hundred."

Meanwhile, the Castellers de Vilafranca took advantage of the event to debut two constructions for the 2026 season, in which they aspire to revalidate their title at the Concurs de Tarragona. The 'greens' completed a 3d8 and a td7, in addition to a 4d8 they had already performed the previous week. The initial intention to build a 7d7 was postponed. The colla, led by Àngel Grau, was able to integrate new members into the trunk during this first outing outside Vilafranca.
Finally, the Castellers de Terrassa opened their performance with a 5d7, continued with a 4d7a, and, once the event resumed, closed with a 4d7. The day concluded with the pillar round, including a pd5 and three pd4 from Castellers de Vilafranca, three pd4 from Nens del Vendrell, and a pd5 from Terrassa, with additional pillars in homage to a casteller from Castellers de Terrassa.
