The Local Police of El Vendrell issued 510 fines to electric scooter riders during the first year of implementation of the new mobility ordinance.

The majority of the sanctions, accounting for more than half of the total, were imposed for failing to wear the mandatory helmet, closely followed by circulating on sidewalks and pedestrian zones in the center of the Baix Penedès capital.

"During the last year, an average of two sanctions per day have been imposed, a fact that has greatly reduced the offenses committed."
