The Junts per Catalunya parliamentary group has filed a resolution in the Catalan Parliament demanding the Government find urgent alternatives to divert heavy truck traffic away from Llorenç del Penedès.

The issue stems from the Poet industrial estate, which generates high volumes of logistics traffic. Currently, trucks must use the TP-2125 road, which passes directly through the heart of the village in the Baix Penedès region.

"This situation generates constant nuisance, a high risk to road safety, and an environmental impact that the municipality cannot continue to bear."

The proposal calls for a ban on heavy vehicles in the town center within three months and requests new signage to redirect traffic toward El Vendrell to link with the AP-7 and AP-2 highways.
