More than 2,000 castellers gathered this Saturday in El Vendrell to celebrate the 100 anys, 100 pilars event, marking the centenary of the Nens del Vendrell group.

The celebration took place around the Monumento als Castellers, a landmark sculpture by Josep Cañas that is also celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. Over fifty different groups from across the country joined the local team for this historic milestone.
Despite challenging weather conditions that required last-minute logistical changes, the event successfully showcased the simultaneous raising of 100 pillars. This collective feat was designed to symbolize the unity and shared heritage of the castells tradition over the last century.
The day in the Baix Penedès capital included various cultural activities and live music performances, drawing large crowds throughout the afternoon and evening to celebrate one of Catalonia's most enduring cultural institutions.
