The accident occurred at the roundabout where the C-51 and N-340 roads meet, known as the Les Mates roundabout, within the municipality of El Vendrell.
The collision was a rear-end incident, happening when one of the vehicles involved was stopped and was struck by another. Two cars and a motorcycle were involved in the crash.
The injured were in mild or less serious condition and were quickly attended to by emergency services.
The Sistema d’Emergències Mèdiques (SEM) attended to all six injured individuals. Four of them were transported to the Santa Tecla Hospital in Tarragona, while the remaining two were taken to the hospital in El Vendrell.
