The constant flow of donations to the Badalona Museum allows for the preservation of key elements of local history. Among the most notable pieces from the second half of last year is a wooden cabinet with four drawers and a set of optical testing lenses, donated by Pere Motos, originating from the former Óptica P. Motos located in the Mercat Maignon passage.
Other relevant contributions include diverse material from the historic Lleteria Pujol (Pujol Dairy), located on Guifre street, donated by Mercè Carbonell. The museum also received philately materials from Josep Brunet Martí, donated by his son Josep Brunet, and photographic materials, including glass negatives, from Gabriel Not's grandfather, the amateur photographer Salvador Centellas Lleixà.
These continuous donations are vital for the conservation of heritage and the collective memory of Badalona.
The artistic collection has also expanded with an ink and colored pencil drawing by Andreu Fresquet, donated by Josep M. Camí, and an oil painting by Antoni Ros Güell, provided by Jordi Sampere. Furthermore, Oriol Genís donated a pin with a commemorative medal from the Civil War and a printed fabric featuring the official war report dated January 27, 1939.
Finally, the museum received curious objects such as Carnival dance cards from 1890 (donated by Maite Forteza), a foldable cardboard toy representing a religious school classroom, and various research and photography books. The Museum expressed its gratitude to all donors for their contribution to the heritage collection.
