From October 7th to November 4th, the cultural venue will host five sessions where experts will dissect classic works addressing identity, fidelity, rebellion, submission, or envy within the family sphere.
The cycle, coordinated by Raül Garrigasait, will begin with his own analysis of Sophocles' Oedipus Rex, exploring the links between the individual, family, and community. Subsequent sessions will feature interpretations of William Shakespeare's King Lear by Joan Sellent, Fyodor Dostoevsky's The Brothers Karamazov by Xènia Dyakonova, Virginia Woolf's To the Lighthouse by Iris Llop, and finally, Mercè Rodoreda's Broken Mirror presented by Marina Porras.
These literary gatherings aim to shed light on the richness of thought and detail that literature has contributed to understanding the complexity of family structures throughout history. All activities are free admission until capacity is reached.
