The measure follows safety reviews between Madrid and Calatayud, while Renfe reinforces service in Girona due to the Rodalies shutdown.

The railway manager Adif has removed most speed restrictions on the high-speed line between Barcelona and Madrid, allowing speeds up to 300 km/h, except for four pending review points.

The railway infrastructure manager, Adif, has completed the review of the sector between Madrid and Calatayud (Zaragoza), lifting the temporary speed limit that had been imposed. The maximum authorized speed returns to 300 km/h across almost the entire route.
Only four specific points maintain a 230 kilometers per hour limit, as their review cannot be carried out until Wednesday night. These points are located on track 1 (pk 27+160 and 138+600) and track 2 (pk 50+840 and 143+760).
Simultaneously, Renfe has had to reinforce the high-speed service between Barcelona and Figueres (Alt Empordà) to offer an alternative to users affected by the total suspension of the Rodalies commuter service. The Rodalies network is halted for safety checks following the tragic accident in Gelida, which resulted in one fatality and 37 injuries.

"The public address system said the trains were running; I will take the AVE, but my concern is the return trip."

Renfe has enabled 125 additional seats by doubling train sets, especially on routes connecting Girona with Figueres and Barcelona-Sants. Users can use their season ticket or purchase a mid-distance ticket to access these high-speed trains.
