The Barcelona City Council has temporarily suspended the final approval of the plan to open Casa Lleó Morera to the public as a museum, citing the need for technical corrections.

The building, owned by Núñez i Navarro since 2005, has faced accessibility challenges for a decade. The current project aims to resolve this by using a removable platform over the historic steps, ensuring universal access without damaging the Modernist mosaics designed by Lluís Domènech i Montaner.
Municipal sources clarified that the suspension is a procedural move to prevent the plan from expiring. The developer now has three months to address issues related to fire safety systems and commercial use definitions, as well as to include mandatory reports regarding the underground metro lines.
