The Barcelona City Council, through the Municipal Council for Immigration of Barcelona (CMIB), has launched the 2026 CMIB Awards call for entries, this year dedicated to the theme "Intercultural Health and Emotional Well-being". The deadline for submissions is November 17.

These awards aim to publicly recognize the work of entities, projects, or individuals contributing to the effective inclusion of people from diverse backgrounds in all areas of citizen life in Barcelona. Initiatives promoting equal rights, coexistence, and active participation of cultural diversity are valued.
This year's theme addresses the need to highlight and tackle the multiple impacts that migration can have on the physical and emotional health of people from diverse backgrounds, as well as the importance of community health projects.
Projects focused on the integration and full citizenship of migrants, refugees, or individuals with a migratory background, contributing to the promotion of health and emotional well-being from an intercultural perspective, are eligible. Beneficiaries include recent migrants, those who have obtained Spanish nationality and reside in the city, and individuals born in Barcelona to migrant parents.
Additionally, a special mention may be awarded to a CMIB member entity for its active participation, collaboration, or contribution to a positive working environment over the past year.
The submission period runs from October 28 to November 17, 2026. Entities required to interact electronically must submit their applications through the City Council's electronic portal, while individuals can do so in person at Citizen Attention Offices (OAC) by appointment.
